Lingo Arena is for personal language learning. Keep your account secure, do not disrupt the service or submit another person’s sensitive information. Questions, explanations and voice features may use models and are learning aids—not certification or professional advice.
1. Accepting these terms
By accessing the Lingo Arena website, web application or related features (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Mandatory local law continues to apply.
2. What the Service provides
The Service includes starting-level selection and placement, adaptive practice, learning cards, answer explanations, spaced review, text-to-speech, progress, check-ins and rewards. Availability may vary by learning language, support language, device or service status.
Learning suggestions use your choices, answers and review history. They are designed to support practice and do not guarantee a level, exam result or professional qualification by a particular date.
3. Eligibility and minors
You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required where you live. The Service is currently intended for individual learners.
4. Accounts and security
You can sign in using an email link, an email verification code or a Google account. Use an email address or Google account you are entitled to use, protect your account and sign-in sessions, and take responsibility for activity under your account. Do not transfer an account, impersonate another person or access another account.
Contact support@lingo-arena.com promptly if you suspect unauthorised use or need account help. For correction or deletion of personal data, contact privacy@lingo-arena.com. We may request reasonable information to verify that the requester controls the account.
5. Free Service and future charges
The current version is free. If paid features are offered later, we will clearly show the price, billing method, cancellation method and applicable terms before you confirm a purchase.
6. Acceptable use
You may use the Service for personal language learning. Do not break the law or infringe others’ rights, access data that is not yours, bypass safeguards, disrupt the Service, scrape or resell content at scale, or submit sensitive information you have no right to process.
7. Your input and feedback
You retain rights you lawfully hold in your text and feedback. You grant us a non-exclusive licence limited to what is necessary to provide and protect the Service—for example, scoring an answer, generating an explanation, troubleshooting and enforcing safety rules.
That licence does not transfer ownership. The Privacy Policy governs retention and recipients. If you submit product suggestions, you allow us to use them without payment to improve the Service, but we will not identify you publicly merely because you sent feedback.
8. Lingo Arena content and intellectual property
The software, interface, brand, course structure, questions, learning cards, text, graphics and other content we provide belong to Lingo Arena or its licensors and are protected by applicable law.
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence for normal access and personal learning. Unless law expressly permits it or we agree in writing, you may not copy, modify, sell, publicly distribute, reverse engineer or remove rights notices.
9. Automatically generated material
Some learning material is assisted by automated models and may contain errors or be unsuitable for a particular context. Check important information elsewhere. The Service supports language learning and is not an exam certificate or professional advice.
10. External services and links
We use necessary technical services to operate Lingo Arena. When you follow an external link, that service’s own terms and privacy policy apply.
11. Availability and changes
Networks, devices or external services may cause delays, interruptions or errors. We may adjust the Service for safety, compliance or operational needs. We will provide reasonable notice if a change materially affects user rights.
12. Restrictions, suspension and account termination
We may restrict or terminate access for serious or repeated breaches, security risk, fraud, abnormal resource use or a legal requirement. Where appropriate, we will explain why and offer a chance to correct or appeal.
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. On termination, your licence ends; provisions that naturally survive—such as intellectual-property, liability, dispute and necessary-retention terms—remain effective.
13. Service standard and learning outcomes
We will use reasonable care and skill and work to improve accuracy, availability and security. To the extent allowed by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that it is always uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose.
Progress, levels, accuracy and recommendations are learning indicators, not certificates recognised by schools, employers, immigration bodies or exam providers. Nothing here removes non-waivable consumer rights.
14. Limits of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are responsible only for reasonably foreseeable loss caused by us. This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or any mandatory consumer right.
15. Updates and disputes
We may update these Terms when the Service, law or security practice changes and will give reasonable notice of material changes. Contact us first about a dispute so we can try to resolve it; applicable law and mandatory consumer protections remain in effect.
